Who Can Apply to YÖS?
In order for people with dual nationality (one of whom will be a Turkish citizen) to take the YÖS exam, they must first renounce their citizenship of the Republic of Turkey. If this change is made by taking advantage of the "Law on Renunciation of Citizenship with Temporary Permission", candidates will be able to become citizens of the Republic of Turkey again after completing their undergraduate education.
Note:
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED TO GIVE UP TURKISH CITIZENSHIP (FOR BLUE CARD):
• 1 biometric photo (the photo will be transferred to CD)
• Population registration copy (the phrase "citizen of the state of ……………" should also be written)
• 2 ID cards photocopy
• Majority decision to be taken from the court for minors
• Photocopies of all the documents mentioned above.
Who cannot apply to YÖS?
1- Those who are citizens of the Republic of Turkey,
2- Those who are citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,
3- Those who have dual citizenship, one of whom is a Turkish or TRNC national,
4- Those who took the YÖS exam, those who committed fraud,
5- Those who are TRNC nationals, those who have a diploma, those who are studying, those who have been dismissed from universities in Turkey due to disciplinary offenses. Those whose relations were terminated,
6- T.R. Those who benefit from scholarships or higher education opportunities granted to foreign governments by their own governments.
How many times can I take YÖS?
As much as you want. There is no similar limitation in YÖS.
As long as you pay the fee, you can take as many exams as you want per year.
Is there any age restriction in YÖS?
NO. There is no age limit for applying for participation.
